IVERSON BONNER

PRESIDENT

Iverson Bonner. President and Founder of the Village of Light 501(c)(3) Mentoring Program. President of the Board of Directors, staff member, mentor and financial contributor. Iverson is truly a firm believer in being the example that you represent.

He is a Native of the Jamaica Queens NY area. Raised by his mother in a single parent household with three sisters and one brother (he is the youngest).

Graduated from York College with a G.E.D then went on to Job Corp to obtain a trade as a skilled carpenter. As of April 15, 2022 at the age of 55 Iverson retired from 25 years of service as a New York City District Council of Carpenters union Carpenter.

Iverson is a single parent that raised two children (son and daughter) and is now a grandfather of six.

NORMAN JONES

FINANCIAL TREASURER

Norman Jones Financial Treasurer of the Village of Light 501(c)(3) Mentoring Program. Also a mentor and financial contributor.

Norman is a native of the Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn NY area. Raised by his mother in a single parent home with three brothers and two sisters (he is the  second of 6). At the age of 10 Norman relocated to Savannah Ga. where he graduated in 1981 from Savannah High School.

After graduating he started job training as an HVAC apprentice working for several companies throughout the years, Dual Purpose the last one.

In February, 2002  he opened his own company business. He is currently owner and President of Namron HVAC a thriving company that has been in business for 22 years and has done various of jobs throughout NYC and the five boroughs. Married and father of 6 children, 4 boys & 2 girls.
